Cord Blood Repository

Reliance Life Sciences has established South Asia's first cord blood repository offering both public and family banking services. The cord blood repository stores stem cells enriched cord blood, which is used for transplantation. The services offered are:

• ReliCord ST: Private banking of cord blood and cord tissue. This is a family banking program which involves storing of cord blood and cord tissue for future use within the family.
• ReliCord M50: Private banking of cord blood and cord tissue derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (50 million cells). This is a family banking program which involves storing of cord blood and cord tissue for future use within the family.
• ReliCord A: Public banking of cord blood. This is a voluntary donor program which involves storing of cord blood collected from an unrelated voluntary donor mother. This service is offered for patients requiring grafts from the cord blood repository.
• Expanded CD34+ cells: Expanded CD34+ cells from banked cord blood are for patients requiring higher doses of hematopoietic stem cells.
